Thank you so much for sharing this!!! I recognize so much in what you write (I’m in consulting with a lot of focus on sales and also not the typical red ‘loud’ figure) but I’ve also come to find that clients connect in a different, deeper way. That is what I try to focus on whenever the feedback gets in my head ;) to me you come across as someone who’s really really good at what she does, so I love that you share this perspective, and that you show how you can be visible without being loud.

Thank you Nathalie, this really means a lot. And yes, that "different, deeper way" you describe is exactly it. I think the clients we work with can feel the difference between someone chasing a number and someone genuinely trying to figure out what will actually work for them. I so appreciate the kind note!

Loved this, Alex. From someone on the other side of the spectrum (the loud side), I really appreciate this POV and insight into how other people show up. I’m constantly preaching for consultants in the Beauty Work Friends community to get more visible, but I’m learning that there are various ways to do that—and it doesn’t always mean being the loudest or boldest. Fab perspective, thank you for sharing!!

This resonates with me so much. That feedback I've also received early on in life and some form of that has appeared like a soundtrack, on repeat, throughout my career. I like to believe that i've grown comfortable in my own style, but i'd be lying if i didn't say there weren't occasional lingering pressures to conform/perform a certain way that others expect.

Anyways, what I ultimately want to say is 1) thank you for sharing about this on your platform, and 2) it's nice to meet others in this life trench!
